Jimmy Page to Appear at Hay Festival to Discuss 'The Anthology'
Last week, it was revealed that Jimmy Page will be discussing his book,
Jimmy Page: The Anthology, later this year at the prestigious literary festival, Hay Festival. It will take place in Hay-on-Wye in Wales on 2 June 2022, tickets are £12 and
available to purchase here.
Page will be discussing the inside story of his phenomenal career as he is joined in conversation with journalist and author, Dylan Jones, the curator behind Paul Weller's upcoming Genesis edition,
Magic: A Journal of Song. The conversation will cover his spectacular life in music, from his colossal body of session work in the Sixties, through to the Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin and beyond. Page will also discuss the book's contents, including the impressive archive of guitars, costumes, and memorabilia that he has amassed throughout his career, all of which were published for the first time in the anthology.
It follows his appearance at
Cheltenham Literature Festival in October of last year, which proved to be a success as many of his fans travelled from across the world to listen to Page discuss
The Anthology with music journalist Will Hodgkinson.
The Anthology contains a new text of over 70,000 words, in which Jimmy Page guides the reader through hundreds of rare items, many of which are previously unseen, and others of mythic status. Page personally selected each piece shown in the book to create the most comprehensive and revealing account of his life to date.
