Ringo Starr’s PHOTOGRAPH Portfolio offers a remarkable view of life behind the scenes with The Beatles, alongside striking images from his travels around the world.
Among the highlights are John and Paul recording at Abbey Road Studios, George smiling on a yacht in Cannes, and the first-ever photograph of Ringo behind the drums at the Cavern Club, Liverpool. Working with classic black-and-white and vibrant colour film, Ringo also experimented with flash photography and infrared effects, revealing a distinctive and often unexpected eye behind the camera.
The PHOTOGRAPH Portfolio presents Ringo’s photography as a series of museum-quality fine art prints, many reproduced from the original negatives for the first time. Created in small artist editions of only 25 numbered copies, each print is individually signed by Ringo Starr and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity with the final framed artwork.

Ringo Starr: 'When we were on the train from New York to Washington, the Press told us why we got such a great reception in America. They said, "Ah, we came to kill you, but you gave as good as you got and we love that." I walked to the back of the train and shot out of the back window. I like shots like this. Ringo Starr: 'We were on a boat in Florida. Somebody lent us their motor launch and we went out. They let me drive and I came in to port straight on! I didn't swing it sideways, and I broke the rail. But, if you were a Beatle, you could break the rails on anybody's boat in those days.'

60 years ago, Ringo shot on black-and-white and vibrant colour films and experimented with flash photography and infrared effects, all of which can be seen in The Photograph Portfolio. Ringo's photographs are now being reproduced from the negative for the first time as large-format, museum-quality prints. Only 25 numbered copies of each image will be created worldwide.
The artist is donating all royalties from The Photograph Portfolio to The Lotus Foundation. The publishers are also making a donation from every purchase to the same charity.
