The Beatles - 'All Together Now' And 'Concert For George' - Special Screenings
The Liverpool Culture Company will present the UK premiere of the documentary 'All Together Now' tonight (Friday 30th) followed with a special screening of 'Concert For George' tomorrow (Saturday 31st) at the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology (FACT) as part of the ongoing celebrations in Liverpool as European Capital of Culture.
'All Together Now' tells the story of the collaboration between The Beatles and the Cirque du Soleil to produce the 'Love' stage show. By using new intimate interviews with Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono and Olivia Harrison as well as directors Sir George Martin and son Giles Martin, it gives an intriguing insight into how the Beatles music was fused with the aesthetic stagecraft of the Cirque du Soleil.
In 2002 the 'Concert For George' again brought together some of the world's finest performers for one unprecedented night of celebration. Rock stars, comedians and classical musicians in both the Indian and European tradition all took to the stage of The Albert Hall in perfect harmony, united by one thing: a love for their friend George Harrison who passed away exactly one year before.
