'It was an incredible time in our lives, but you wouldn't want to rewrite it again. You're writing who you are and what you are at the time you're living it. These are just chapters in an artist's life.' – Jon Bon Jovi
Reflecting on the new publication, Jon discussed pivotal moments in Bon Jovi's musical journey, including the writing of several iconic songs. For a small audience of readers, Jon unpacked the stories behind the music – such as the tale of Tommy and Gina, the working-class couple who persevere through life’s hardships, as depicted in 'Livin' on a Prayer'.
The fascinating evening concluded with Jon answering a selection of questions from the audience, see above for a full gallery of images. The next day, he reunited with his longstanding friends – and fellow Genesis authors – Def Leppard.
'We hit it off immediately. Hanging out with Joe and the guys felt like hanging out with my own band – just with a different accent.' – Jon Bon Jovi
The following day in Hollywood, Jon Bon Jovi appeared for a speech celebrating his friends and peers Def Leppard, who were honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Joe Elliott, Phil Collen, Rick Savage, Vivian Campbell, and Rick Allen were all in attendance.
