Today marks the 70th birthday of the late Jimi Hendrix. Theguitarist lives on, with iconic and unreleased material continuing to resurfaceover 40 years since his death.
To celebrate his birthday, Hendrix 70: Live fromWoodstock will be released in cinemasworldwide. With restored archival footage, this film shows Hendrix's 1969Woodstock performance, including his legendary rendition of 'Star SpangledBanner'. Just several photographers captured this moment, but amongst the luckyfew was high school junior, Dan Garson. His photography was forgotten for 40years and published for the first time in WOODSTOCK EXPERIENCE.

Further lost material has been discovered recently, withHendrix's unheard album, People, Hell and Angels, set for release in March next year. Recorded by Hendrix in 1968-9apart from the Jimi Hendrix Experience, according to his official website thisalbum suggests new, experimental directions.
