Genesis Scores a Hat-Trick in Forbes’ 2025 Music-Book Round-Up

Forbes magazine has highlighted three Genesis titles in their end-of-year round-up of notable music books: Night Divides the Day by The Doors, The Beatles Anthology by The Beatles and Cat On the Road to Find Out by Yusuf / Cat Stevens. In what is a landmark year for Genesis – celebrating our 50th anniversary – we take a look back at the titles that featured on their list.

Created in celebration of the band’s 60th anniversary, Night Divides the Day opens up The Doors archives like never before. The band’s most definitive book yet presents rare photography, intimate interviews with Robby Krieger and John Densmore, and meticulously sourced archival text from Jim Morrison and Ray Manzarek. Joining them are a host of contributors, a foreword by Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic, and an afterword by maestro Gustavo Dudamel. Available as a signed limited edition and a bookstore edition, there is a format for every Doors fan to enjoy.

The Beatles Anthology, which was compiled, edited and prepared for press by Genesis Publications on behalf of Apple Corps is the story of The Beatles, as told for the first and only time by the band them­selves. Created with the full cooperation of Paul, George, Ringo and Yoko Ono Lennon, it also includes the words of John, meticulously gathered from sources worldwide. In essence, The Beatles Anthology stands as the band's collective autobiography.

Lastly, Genesis is proud to publish the North American edition of Cat On the Road to Find Out by Yusuf / Cat Stevens. Following on from the beautiful signed limited edition, Cat Stevens: Back Beyond, this new volume offers an even deeper exploration of Yusuf/Cat Stevens’ life.
