Bon Jovi: Forever Shortlisted for Best Book Finishing Award

Genesis is delighted to announce that the limited edition Bon Jovi: Forever has been shortlisted for Best Book Finishing at the British Book Design and Production Awards. The category celebrates exceptional finishing that enhances the overall design, tactility and impact of a book, recognising work where finishing choices elevate the publication as a complete and cohesive piece.

Now fully subscribed, it is the Deluxe edition that has been shortlisted. This edition features a padded denim-effect cover inspired by the jacket worn by Jon Bon Jovi on the 2024 Forever album cover, complete with inset fabric patches. The book is presented in a black clamshell box finished with a striking 3D silver heart and dagger.

The nomination recognises the outstanding craftsmanship of Genesis’s Italian printers, O.G.M. Spa. Rosalia D’Aprano of O.G.M. Spa commented on the challenges of producing an edition like this:

'All limited-edition boxed sets are unique in their design and finish, and for Bon Jovi: Forever the 3D plates on the clamshell presented a particular technical challenge. Multiple tests and prototypes were required before final production could begin. Having produced different types of 3D plates for book covers and boxes in the past, and working closely with our trusted suppliers, we knew how important it was to perfect the prototypes to determine what would work for the finished product. Being able to meet with clients and fully understand their vision is essential in helping us turn ambitious ideas into reality.'

The winner of the award will be announced on Tuesday 14th April. Genesis is proud to see Bon Jovi: Forever recognised among the very best in book production and finishing.
