A Guide to the Labyrinth

Rare Editions 2025

The ultimate celebration of Jim Morrison's life and work. Only 3 multi-signed Deluxe boxed sets.

As a poet, writer, singer-songwriter, filmmaker and frontman to The Doors, Jim Morrison's body of work forms one of the twentieth century's greatest artistic legacies. Before his passing, Morrison proposed how this work might be published on a leaf of paper entitled 'Plan for Book'. In 2022, with the Estate of Jim Morrison, Genesis was honoured to fulfil his creative wish in an official three-book, multimedia boxed set. The ultimate celebration of Jim Morrison and his work, A Guide to the Labyrinth was published in a limited edition of 2,000 copies worldwide.

Numbered from 1 to 350, each Deluxe copy is hand-signed by Jim Morrison's Doors bandmates Robby Krieger and John Densmore, and his siblings, Anne Morrison and Andy Morrison. The Deluxe copies are three-quarter-bound in vegan leather with green and gold foiling. The large-format book (225mm x 300mm / 9" x 12") is presented in an archival solander box, screen-printed with lines of poetry in Morrison's own hand, and embossed with black and gold foiling.

Within the boxed set, a specially pressed 7" vinyl is included, which features five poetry readings from a 1969 recording session at Elektra Studios ('Why Does My Mind Circle Around You', 'Thank You, O Lord', 'Moonshine Night', 'Indian Indian', and 'Science of Night'), as well as two further volumes of work from the vault: precise replicas of notebooks 13 and 15, reproduced in full. The first of the notebooks is spiral-bound and contains Morrison's piece, 'The Celebration of the Lizard', which combines poetry, lyrics and music with sound cues and effects. The second notebook includes poems, notations, and doodles, as well as setlists and lines from iconic Doors songs.

Completing the Deluxe boxed set are two exclusive Deluxe prints: The first is an estate-stamped lyric print of 'The Wasp (Texas Radio and the Big Beat)'; the second print reproduces a photographic portrait by The Doors' photographer and moviemaker, Paul Ferrara, and is hand-signed by the photographer. Hand-numbered 1 of 350 copies, these museum-quality Giclée prints are made onto heavyweight (310gsm) 100% cotton rag archival paper, and are suitable for framing (254mm x 200mm / 10" x 8").

A Guide to the Labyrinth remains not only one of the most ambitious and highly sought-after editions Genesis has ever published, but also one of the most spectacular in terms of its design, depth, and binding. For any fan of Jim Morrison's work, this is the definitive boxed set.

Only 3 Deluxe copies are being released from the publisher's archives, each shipped with an original 6-page brochure.

Latter Days Yardbirds, Early Days Led Zeppelin

Rare Editions 2025

Created with the artistic direction of Jimmy Page. Only 1 signed artwork available.

For his second Genesis book, Jimmy Page: The Anthology (2020), Jimmy Page shared hundreds of items from his private collection, including costumes, stage equipment and instruments. The collection was specially photographed under Jimmy Page’s art direction – from the curation of the items, to the lighting and the composition – with each photograph telling a story from Page's phenomenal rock and roll career.

Subsequently, Jimmy Page selected a number of these photographs to be made available as large-format (20”x30”) archival prints. This artwork is a final copy from the now-sold-out edition, 'Latter Days Yardbirds, Early Days Led Zeppelin'.

'When I began painting my Telecaster the pattern took on the imagery of a dragon. Once it was created and painted it became like the legendary Excalibur as it travelled from the Yardbirds to Led Zeppelin' - Jimmy Page

Published in an artist edition of only 75 numbered copies, the museum-quality print is rendered in lightfast Giclée inks onto 100% cotton rag paper.

Hand-numbered and individually signed by Jimmy Page, a certificate of authenticity accompanies the final framed artwork. An original 6-page foldout brochure is also included.

Live In Japan

Rare Editions 2025

This large-format, leather-bound book features almost 500 previously unpublished photographs from George Harrison and Eric Clapton's Rock Legends tour of Japan, 1991. Each copy is hand-signed by George Harrison. Only 3 available.

In his foreword to Live in Japan, Eric Clapton explains how, for the 1991 Rock Legends tour of Japan, George Harrison was persuaded to return to performing after a 17-year break. Live In Japan is the official document of that incredible tour.

The first (and longest) chapter of Live In Japan is written by George Harrison himself. Harrison shares his personal recollections of the tour and memories from his earlier life on the road with The Beatles. Subsequent chapters are written by each member of Eric Clapton's band and describe private moments behind the scenes, during sound checks, on stage and in transit. The final chapter by John Harris, who engineered the Live In Japan live album, offers an insightful account of working with George Harrison in the studio. The book also includes a full itinerary of the tour.

Beautifully illustrated with nearly 500 previously unpublished photographs, reproduced in full colour throughout, the finished 274-page book is fully bound in black leather with gold and red hand tooling and gilt-edged pages. Housed in a buckram-bound slipcase, the Live in Japan boxed set includes a double CD with original artwork and a total of 19 live tracks from the tour. A souvenir pack containing a laminated 'After Show' pass and Eric Clapton's and George Harrison's guitar picks completes the set.

One of the most famous editions that Genesis has ever published, Live In Japan has long been out of print. This is perhaps the last chance to obtain one of only 7 boxed sets that are now being made available, each one a unique piece of music history. Hand-numbered and signed by George Harrison, an original Live In Japan promotional sheet from the book's publication in 1993 will also be included.

Please note: your copy will ship in July 2025.

Magic: A Journal of Song

Rare Editions 2025

Paul Weller's acclaimed lyrical memoir. Only 7 Deluxe boxed sets available.

Magic: A Journal of Song is a fascinating portrait of one of Britain’s most prolific songwriters. Over 100 lyrics from across Paul Weller’s musical life are included: from The Jam to the Style Council, through to his remarkable 30-year solo career.

His third Genesis edition, Magic is narrated by Weller and illustrated with more than 450 photographs and pieces of ephemera. A revealing commentary garnered over a series of conversations with journalist and author Dylan Jones covers the songs, the stories and inspirations behind them.

The Magic Deluxe boxed set (now fully subscribed) included the signed and numbered 360-page book, fully bound in imitation vellum. An original, hand-drawn illustration is fine-screen printed across the front and back covers, and over 25 references to Paul Weller's lyrics are to be found within this specially commissioned artwork. The Deluxe book is finished with red and gold foil blocking and gilt page edging.

The boxed set additionally includes an envelope containing signed and stamped art prints created exclusively for the Deluxe copies. Reproduced as archival Giclées on heavyweight paper, the prints are suitable for framing (size: 8"x10" / 200mm x254mm) and comprise:

• A photographic portrait of Paul Weller, individually numbered and signed by the photographer, Peter Anderson

• A signed art print of the Magic cover illustration drawn by British designer bookbinder, Luke Hornus

• Two prints of Paul Weller's handwritten lyrics to one of his favourite songs, 'Aspects', from his 2018 solo album True Meanings. At the end of the song, the second print is hand-numbered and personally autographed by Paul Weller

In the first month of publication in 2023, the Magic bookstore edition became a Sunday Times bestseller, and, at the time of writing, fewer than 50 copies remain in the Magic signed limited edition (2,000 copies). This is a rare opportunity to secure one of the first 350 numbered and signed Magic Deluxe boxed sets that were fully subscribed within 48 hours of being announced. Only 7 Deluxe copies are available.

Wyman Shoots Chagall

Rare Editions 2025

This charming limited edition volume presents the photography and reminiscences of the former Rolling Stones bass player Bill Wyman. Only 12 copies available.

When all the members of The Rolling Stones relocated to the South of France in 1971, it was initially a temporary measure, but Bill Wyman ended up staying for nearly a dozen years. In Vence, he bought a plot of land, built a house, and made new friends among the artists, musicians and sportsmen in the area.

In 1976, Wyman was introduced to the great artist and local celebrity Marc Chagall, celebrated for his dream-like paintings, ceramics and stained-glass windows. Chagall was in his late eighties by then, but he and Wyman quickly established a warm friendship, meeting regularly for afternoon tea.

Wyman Shoots Chagall is a document of those times, sharing Bill Wyman's photographs and his story of an unlikely meeting between two artists, each of whom had achieved greatness in their respective fields.

Published in 1998, this is the first time in nearly 20 years that Wyman Shoots Chagall has been made available. Only 12 mint-condition, unboxed copies are being released. Each is hand-numbered and signed by the author, Bill Wyman, and will ship with an original Wyman Shoots Chagall promotional postcard.
