Inside the Book
Fearless: The Anthology
'My guitars are the tools of my trade. They are really precious to me and it's amazing to see them documented in this new book.' – Ronnie Wood
Presented chronologically, Fearless: The Anthology follows Ronnie’s journey from the Birds and the Jeff Beck Group through the Faces, his solo career and more than 50 years with the Rolling Stones. Specially commissioned photography brings together his guitars and gear, stage clothes, artwork, records and personal memorabilia, interwoven with rare period images and Ronnie’s own recollections.
At the heart of the archive are hundreds of guitars and pieces of gear. Highlights include a replica of Ronnie’s iconic Birds Op Art-customised white Fender Telecaster, the two Fender basses he played with the Jeff Beck Group, the Disc-Front Zemaitis he has used since the Faces, and an array of Fender Stratocasters – including ‘Primo’, ‘Scratchy’ and ‘Old/New’.
The book also features Ronnie’s Duesenberg Starplayer TV, vintage and signature J-200s, ESP B-Benders, Les Pauls, L-5s, Versoul Raya, metal-front Zemaitis, Gibson Firebird, and his collection of lap and pedal steels. Detailed photography captures every colour, texture, mark and unique modification.
Alongside these instruments are rarely seen stage clothes, original artwork, handwritten material, passes, records and personal artefacts. Each piece has been selected for inclusion with Ronnie, revealing the stories behind an extraordinary life and career in his own words.
