Fearless: The Anthology

Ronnie Wood

‘People say, “If you’re going to be successful at something, pick something that you enjoy doing.” And the smile is all over my face because I love playing guitar and I love the challenge of learning something new.’ – Ronnie Wood

Told in his own words, Fearless: The Anthology is Ronnie Wood’s definitive chronicle of a life in music. Written and signed by Ronnie Wood, the book traces his journey from the clubs of Sixties London with The Birds, through his time as bassist with the Jeff Beck Group and co-founder of the Faces, to more than 50 years as a member of the Rolling Stones, the most legendary band on the planet.

Published in a signed limited edition of 1,000 copies worldwide, Fearless is presented in two bindings: the Deluxe boxed sets (copies 1–350) and the Collector boxed sets (copies 351–1,000), each signed by Ronnie Wood.

The Archive

Fearless: The Anthology

‘I was looking for an adventure, and I certainly got that.’ – Ronnie Wood

Fearless: The Anthology opens Ronnie Wood’s personal archive for the first time in book form. The collection spans legendary guitars and rare instruments, custom-made straps, vintage pedals and amps, designer stage wear, concert set lists, and historic ephemera – all specially photographed for the making of this limited edition publication.

Capturing the spirit of every era, Ronnie’s stage clothing is shown from his first performance with the Rolling Stones in 1975 through to the shirts, jackets, and t-shirts of their 2024 Hackney Diamonds tour. The anthology is brought fully up to date with a recreation of the complete stage setup from Ronnie's headline-making appearance in Glastonbury’s 2025 Legends Slot.

Written in Ronnie’s own words, with exclusive new text for this edition, Fearless: The Anthology combines specially commissioned photography of his archive with rare period images. The result presents the collection on stage, in the spotlight, and interwoven with the story of his life in music.

Inside the Book

Fearless: The Anthology

'My guitars are the tools of my trade. They are really precious to me and it's amazing to see them documented in this new book.' – Ronnie Wood

Presented chronologically, Fearless: The Anthology follows Ronnie’s journey from the Birds and the Jeff Beck Group through the Faces, his solo career and more than 50 years with the Rolling Stones. Specially commissioned photography brings together his guitars and gear, stage clothes, artwork, records and personal memorabilia, interwoven with rare period images and Ronnie’s own recollections.

At the heart of the archive are hundreds of guitars and pieces of gear. Highlights include a replica of Ronnie’s iconic Birds Op Art-customised white Fender Telecaster, the two Fender basses he played with the Jeff Beck Group, the Disc-Front Zemaitis he has used since the Faces, and an array of Fender Stratocasters – including ‘Primo’, ‘Scratchy’ and ‘Old/New’.

The book also features Ronnie’s Duesenberg Starplayer TV, vintage and signature J-200s, ESP B-Benders, Les Pauls, L-5s, Versoul Raya, metal-front Zemaitis, Gibson Firebird, and his collection of lap and pedal steels. Detailed photography captures every colour, texture, mark and unique modification.

Alongside these instruments are rarely seen stage clothes, original artwork, handwritten material, passes, records and personal artefacts. Each piece has been selected for inclusion with Ronnie, revealing the stories behind an extraordinary life and career in his own words.

The Author

Fearless: The Anthology

‘The Stones were always in the back of my mind. When I got to the Stones, I didn't feel like I'd finally made it. I was wondering, “Where do we take it from here?”’ – Ronnie Wood

Sixty years on from his debut with The Birds, Ronnie Wood – a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee with both the Rolling Stones and the Faces – remains at the heart of rock history, from the Jeff Beck Group to the Faces and, for the past five decades, his role as guitarist with the Rolling Stones.

Along the way, Ronnie has released seven solo albums and worked with the greatest names in music, while also pursuing a parallel career as a celebrated visual artist.

Celebrating his 50th year as a Rolling Stone and 50 years of Genesis Publications, Fearless: The Anthology marks the fifth collaboration between Ronnie and Genesis. His new career-spanning edition follows the success of his best-selling titles Wood On CanvasFaces, 1969–’75How Can It Be?, and The Rolling Stones Set Lists, as well as his valued contributions to recent publications such as Buddy Holly: Words of Love.
