The self-portrait, taken on the Beatles' tour of Japan in 1966, was the image that graced the front cover of his sold-out limited edition, Photograph, and was later adapted by Shepard Fairey for the front cover of Ringo's latest book, Another Day in the Life.

The Beatles' first visit to America saw the arrival of 'Beatlemania'. The group landed at JFK airport and charmed the media, played on the Ed Sullivan Show and at the Washington Coliseum and famously met Cassius Clay after which they performed again on the Ed Sullivan Show at the Deauville Hotel in Florida.
This is the last copy available of this Kodachrome colour photograph of John Lennon and is a superb collector's piece.
