Bush quote

A Time to Live is a beautiful large-format book opening with a condensed history of the first 2,001 years AD written by Michael Palin, followed by a year-by-year account of twentieth century events from the dramatic to the absurd. The text finishes with an Afterword written by Arthur C Clarke. This unique Millennium tome is the ultimate memento of these past hundred years revealing both the dark and light side of humanity: the heroes and villains, the pioneers and the discoverers, the important and the merely self-important, the intellectual, the spiritual, the preposterous, the tragic and the humorous.

A Time To Live is a powerful evocation of memorable events featuring a wealth of stunning images brilliantly frozen in time by the world's greatest photographers, such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Alfred Stieglitz, Robert Capa and Dorothea Lange. Exquisitely reproduced, these magnificent photographs complement the narrative to create an unrivalled historical treasure. A visual delight and a fascinating read, A Time To Live will also be an excellent source of reference throughout the twenty-first century.
