Just prior to the 1972 world tour, Michael Putland was asked by the Stones to be their official tour photographer. He happily accepted, and set about creating the classic images in this volume, capturing the very essence of the excitement and fascination generated by the band. His physical closeness to the Stones - he was often only feet away from them on stage - has resulted in a wealth of memorable images, from stunning live shots to intimate moments backstage.

Michael's archive documents in breathtaking detail the Seventies, which many consider to be the most interesting decade in the band's history, and beyond, resulting in a photographic history second to none.
Pleased to Meet You
includes shots of Mick Taylor in the line-up; the incredible It's Only Rock'n'Roll video shoot; the arrival of Ronnie Wood; the first pictures of Keith after his Toronto drug bust; backstage at the Palladium with the McCartneys, Peter Tosh and Bob Marley; and the fantastic 100 Club gig. His work continues right through to the Grammy awards in 1986. These peerless Stones photographs are accompanied by a lively and insightful text from Michael, who has personally overseen every stage of the book's production.
Unbelievably, Michael Putland's images have rarely been published, never exhibited, and never before presented in such an exquisite art form.
