PSYCHEDELIC RENEGADES is the exciting limited edition quarter leather-bound book from Genesis Publications, featuring the entire Syd Barrett archive of the legendary rock photographer Mick Rock.

This finely produced volume covers the period 1969-71 and features the photo session in and around Syd's London flat which culminated in the cover for Syd's first solo album The Madcap Laughs, and a further session at Syd's family home in Cambridge. Not only does this exquisite book reproduce in the highest quality, for which Genesis is renowned, some of the most famous images of Syd Barrett, there is also a wealth of images which have never before been published. Many have not even been previously printed up from the original historic negatives.

Accompanying these extraordinary images is a fascinating text providing insights into one of the world's truly cult figures, a 'mad bohemian poet' in the words of Mick Rock. For Syd Barrett continues to intrigue past and present generations alike and has been the subject of a tremendous rock mythology ever since his withdrawal from the music world in the early Seventies. It was Mick Rock who undertook the last ever interview with Syd for Rolling Stone magazine in 1971, and his original version of this memorable article is reproduced in full in PSYCHEDELIC RENEGADES for the first time.

Mick shared a personal friendship with Syd which began in the mid-Sixties when they met in Cambridge and flourished when they both lived in London, where at one point they shared a flat. One of Syd's closest friends, the artist Duggie Fields, writes frankly and with humour about his friendship with Syd. In his perceptive text he describes life in the Earl's Court apartment which he shared with Syd and where the Madcap shots were taken in Syd's famous bedroom with the striped floorboards.

PSYCHEDELIC RENEGADES is limited to 950 craftsman-produced numbered copies worldwide, all of which are signed by Mick Rock. Of these, 320 copies are Deluxe copies, and signed also by Syd Barrett. [The deluxe edition is now fully subscribed]	deluxe binding
This wonderful 160-page limited edition book represents the Syd Barrett photo archive of Mick Rock in its entirety of approximately 120 monochrome and colour images; the majority of which are previously unpublished. The book is printed, to the highest standards, on 200gsm matt art acid-free paper. Additionally there are two extending gatefold sections each reproducing a selection of images on the finest Italian paper.
The regular copies are quarter-bound in orange leather and luxurious turquoise blue linen over heavyweight boards. Each volume is handsomely finished with gilt lettering and decoration, and gilded page edges.
The Deluxe copies are hand-bound in full orange and turquoise leathers carefully pared and butted together to match the painted floorboards in Syd Barrett's Earl's Court flat.
