Rod Stewart Returns to Las Vegas
06 Oct 2021
For the first time since the pandemic began, Rod Stewart will return to Las Vegas for a series of shows that start this week. Stewart will take to the stage at the Colosseum
at Caesar's Palace where he is sure to delight fans with some of his biggest hits, including 'Maggie May', 'Have I Told You Lately That I Love You', and his cover of the Cat Stevens
classic, 'The First Cut is the Deepest'.
The shows come shortly after the announcement that Stewart is releasing a new solo album, The Tears of Hercules, adding to his vast back catalogue of songs. A hugely successful solo musician, Stewart is also recognised for his early work with the Jeff Beck Group and Faces. Stewart joined Faces shortly after the band's guitarist, Steve Marriott, left the band (then The Small Faces) and Stewart became the group's new singer. With different members and a new name, Faces became one of the finest rock groups to emerge from Britain, as a blend of some of the most talented musicians of the time.
Genesis were excited to recently announce that the final 300 copies of the limited edition, Faces, 1969-75
, have now been made available. Faces, 1969-75
is the first-ever book by one of rock music's most-loved supergroups. With an original text written by Ronnie Wood, Kenney Jones, and the late Ian McLagan, the book documents their official history, and presents over 200 photographs that chart the band's brief but thrilling trajectory, from their formation in 1969 to their eventual split in 1975.
