Today we remember the sad passing of one of the greatest musicians of our time, John Lennon. Undisputedly one of the most talented musicians and songwriters the world has seen, he changed the landscape of popular music forever. Fans around the world and those closest to John have joined together in remembrance.

Yoko Ono shared a message of peace, continuing the work that she and Lennon campaigned for together: "The death of a loved one is a hollowing experience. After 40 years, Sean, Julian and I still miss him. 'Imagine all the people living life in peace.' Yoko Ono Lennon"

Beatles band member and friend, Ringo Starr, has requested that radio stations play 'Strawberry Fields' in memory of John. Paul McCartney also shared a photo and kind words on social media: "A sad sad day but remembering my friend John with the great joy he brought to the world. I will always be proud and happy to have known and worked with this incredible Scouser! X love Paul"
