Rage Against The Machine 2023 Rock Hall Induction
04 May 2023
In momentous news this week, Rage Against the Machine is to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year alongside Kate Bush, Missy Elliott, Sheryl Crow, George Michael, Willie Nelson, and the Spinners.
Rage Against the Machine's politically charged lyrics, heavy sound and energetic performances made them a force to be reckoned with in the 1990s with songs that continue to resonate with audiences today. In their public statement about the announcement, they said, 'We are grateful to all of the passionate fans, the many talented co-conspirators we've worked with and all the activists, organizers, rebels and revolutionaries past, present and future who have inspired our art.'
It is our great honour to have collaborated with Tom Morello on his recent edition,
Whatever It Takes, which documents his early years through to forming Rage Against the Machine, working with Chris Cornell in Audioslave, his solo work, and on to Prophets of Rage.
All throughout, Morello reflects on how his 'calling' of activism drives his work. He recounts the protests and controversies that he has encountered in his mission to use his guitar as a means to share ideas worth fighting for.
