Timothée Chalamet is in talks to play Bob Dylan in an upcoming documentary that will portray the musician's early life in music.
The forthcoming film is set to be directed by Le Mans '66 filmmaker James Mangold, will be produced by Searchlight Pictures and is reportedly titled Going Electric.
The film will follow Dylan's shift from folk singer to rock star, focusing on the music icon's controversial shift from acoustic guitar music to electric guitar in 1965.
Bob Dylan is said to be actively working with Mangold and the film's production company as part of this project.
This recently announced documentary follows the 2019 film Rolling Thunder Revue which told the story of Dylan's 1975 tour of the same name. Directed by Martin Scorsese this 2019 documentary was released via Netflix.
