Ringo Starr's personal copy of The White Album sold at auction this weekend for an amazing $790,000. The vinyl, numbered #000001, far surpassed the world record set by Elvis Presley’s first acetate recording, which sold for $300,000 in 2015.
‘We used to play the vinyl in those days. We didn't think, "We'll keep it for 50 years and it will be in pristine condition.” Whoever gets it, it will have my fingerprints on it.’ – Ringo Starr in Rolling Stone magazine
If you didn’t snap anything up at the auction, you can still become the owner of a limited edition, large-format print signed by Ringo Starr. Six stunning art prints remain in Ringo’s PHOTOGRAPH Portfolio 2015, including photos of Paul McCartney, Mal Evans, Ringo Starr and George Harrison (pictured left). Just 25 prints have been created of each image, and you can order yours today by clicking here.
