Yoko Ono has released a new single,
‘Moonbeams’, which will feature on the upcoming Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band
album, Take Me to the Land of Hell. The album
will be released on 16th September, but you can listen to ‘Moonbeams’ today by clicking here.
The release coincides with this year’s Southbank’s Meltdown Festival, which Yoko has curated and played. The Plastic
Ono Band started the celebrations on Friday 14th June to rave
reviews, and the festival will continue all this week.
‘At the centre of it all, Ono cuts a hugely
engaging figure. Most singers past a certain age suffer from a decline in their
vocal abilities, but Ono sounds as hair-raising and potent as ever.’ – The Guardian reviews Yoko’s performance at Meltdown
As well as making music, curating a
festival and showing her work across the world, Yoko is busy working on her
book, INFINITE UNIVERSE AT DAWN. Yoko’s upcoming
limited edition looks at her work across her entire life, across all mediums.
