The Rolling Stones have announced a gig in London's Hyde
park, a headlining slot at Glastonbury festival and a US and Canada tour.
'It's going to be a great summer, man. All the gigs we
haven't done or wanted to redo are popping up.' - Keith Richards
Taking place on 6th July, a week after
Glastonbury, this will be the first time the Stones have played Hyde Park since
1969. The last concert holds special significance, as it was just two days
after the death of former Stones guitarist, Brian Jones. 44 years later,
tickets will unfortunately not be free. You can visit the official Rolling
Stones website to find out more details about all these events. Tickets for the
US and Canada tour go on sale on Monday 8th April.
'We did a few shows in London and New York last year and had
such a good time that we thought let's do some more. It's a good
show. Lots of the classic stuff everyone wants to hear, with a few little
gems tucked in here and there.' - Mick Jagger
