The Rolling Stones made their first
appearance at Glastonbury, headlining the Pyramid Stage on Saturday 27thJune.

During their two-and-a-half-hour strong
set, the Stones played classic tracks including encores ‘You Can’t Always Get
What You Want’ and ‘Satisfaction’, with Mick Taylor joining Mick, Keith, Ronnie
and Charlie onstage for several songs.
Highlights included a phoenix rising from
the Pyramid Stage amidst blasts of fire during ‘Sympathy for the Devil’; a rare
performance of ‘2000 Light Years From Home’; and a song written especially for
the occasion, a reworking of ‘Factory Girl’ entitled ‘Glastonbury Girl’.

her dirt Lit her up a cigarette I gave her my clean shirt Offered her my luxury
