Help! Ringo's Lost His Photos
18 May 2012
Ringo Starr lamented the loss of the photographs he took
whilst in The Beatles in a recent Rolling Stone interview. Though he frequently
took pictures of his band and their behind-the-scenes antics, he doesn't know
where they are now. He blames various moves and hopes they will show up
unexpectedly. This wish may not be in vain as, ten years ago, he did find a box
of lost postcards he had collected over the years.
'I found a box on my shelf and was like, 'What the hell is that?'
And it was full of the postcards. At the time we were moving house yet again,
and the secretary I had at the time decided to put them all in envelopes and
put them in a shoebox. That's how I found out I still had them. So you never
know - one day I may find another box with all my photos.'
- Ringo Starr in
Rolling Stone, 2012
These postcards from George Harrison, John Lennon and Paul
McCartney were published with Genesis in Ringo's 2004 book,
POSTCARDS FROM THE
BOYS. We hope that Ringo finds his photos soon, but in the
meantime you can see pictures of the boys in one of our limited editions.
