The Rolling Stones' new single, 'Doom and Gloom', will be
released tomorrow, Thursday 11th October. This recording is the
first that Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood have made
together in seven years. It will be aired on BBC Radio 2 at 8.15am BST and
available to download on iTunes tomorrow.
'Doom and Gloom' is taken from the Rolling Stones'
forthcoming album, GRRR!, which will be
released on 12th November and features classic hits along with
another new recording, 'One More Shot'. Don Was, who has worked on five
previous Stones albums, joined the band in Paris to produce their new material.
Possible plans for a reunion tour to accompany the album
were let slip by Keith Richards in a recent interview.
'We've got some shows in London, I believe, and in New York, but I really can't
talk about any of that at the moment. They've put the gag on me on this. You
can hint!' - Keith Richards, Q Magazine
