Genesis And Paul Weller
05 Nov 2006
Genesis Publications is honoured to announce the planned release in Spring 2007 of A Thousand Things
, a collaboration with Paul Weller.
A Thousand Things
will be a limited edition of just 2,000 copies charting the recording history of one of Britain's greatest ever songwriters, with original text by the Modfather himself and a mixture of rare, unseen and iconic photos.
The planned release will coincide with the 30th anniversary of The Jam's debut single, 'In The City'. Paul Weller has been at the vanguard of British music throughout those three decades, having created era-defining records in each: from 'Eton Rifles' and 'Going Underground' with The Jam, The Style Council's 'Speak Like A Child' and 'Shout To The Top', to his masterful solo records including 'Wild Wood', 'You Do Something To Me', 'Broken Stones' and, more recently, 'Blink And You'll Miss It'.
Quite rightly, he was recently given a Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music. Keep an eye on the Genesis website for more details.
