Rebel Music On

01 Nov 2004

VH1 have interviewed Kate Simon about her new book with Genesis, Rebel Music: Bob Marley and Roots Reggae. In it she talks about how she started as a photographer, how she approaches her subjects, and what Kingston, Jamaica, was like in the late Seventies.

You can read the full interview here and also see a selection of 30 images from the book in the photo gallery. VH1 describe Rebel Music as capturing the essence of Marley, and that; 'When you see reggae's most profound symbol rehearsing his group at Copenhagen's Tivoli Gardens amusement park... you get a feel for Marley the working musician, not Marley the superstar.'

Rebel Music contains over 400 images, both colour and black and white, reproduced to the very highest quality. Each copy comes housed in a unique silk-screened wooden slipcase.
