Concert For George On The Big Screen

Concert For George - the film of last years' tribute to the late George Harrison performed at London's Royal Albert Hall - had its LA premiere on Wednesday 24th of September.

In attendance were Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Yoko Ono as well as a host of other celebrities including Meg Ryan, Michelle Pfeiffer, Sheryl Crow, James Taylor, Ravi Shankar, Jackson Browne and, well, the list goes on! By all accounts the film was received in a state of emotional awe that left some attendees with tears in their eyes.

The film receives a New York screening on the 29th of September. It comes to London on the 8th of October and will be on limited release at selected cinemas with tickets available online. The DVD box set of the event will be available from 29th November and features performances from the likes of Tom Petty, Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Jeff Lynne and Ravi Shankar, as well as interviews, mini-features and rehearsal footage.
