Limited Edition Spotlight: Golden Dreams

04 Apr 2024

Coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the filming of A Hard Day's Night - shot during March and April 1964 - we wanted to take a moment to revisit Astrid Kirchherr and Max Scheler's signed limited edition, Golden Dreams. This classic Genesis edition is very nearly fully subscribed.
Released in July 1964, A Hard Day's Night is a cinematic gem that transcends its musical roots. Directed by Richard Lester, the movie offers a lively portrayal of the band's daily antics and misadventures. The film captures the infectious energy of Beatlemania and the individual personalities of John, Paul, George, and Ringo.
Photographing it all were Astrid Kirchherr and Max Scheler, documenting the behind-the-scenes magic of the film with never-before-seen images and candid moments.
Limited to only 2,500 copies worldwide, as the edition nears its end we will be increasing the price to £325 on the 1st of May. Secure your copy today with a £60 saving by clicking here.
About The Authors
Astrid Kirchherr
When she first met The Beatles, Astrid Kirchherr was a young art student in Hamburg, studying photography under the tutelage of Germany's respected architectural and still life photographer, Reinhart Wolf. Astrid fell in love with The Beatles' rock'n'roll aesthetic and, against the backdrop of post-war Hamburg, she created some of the most iconic portraits ever taken of the band.
With Astrid playing host to the boys in Germany and becoming engaged to the band's bass player, Stuart Sutcliffe, a lifelong connection with The Beatles was established.

His career continued into the mid-1970s, at which point Scheler increasingly dedicated himself to publishing others' work.
