For the first time in 40 years Jeff Lynne's ELO performed at Madison Square Garden in New York. The band performed twice at the Garden, on August 21st and 22nd.
The shows were the next step on the band's 2018 tour, which kicked off at the beginning of August, and which travels to Europe next month.
Lynne characteristically let the music do the talking. The New York shows' 19-song set covered all the favourites, including: 'Evil Woman', 'Livin' Thing', 'Mr. Blue Sky', 'Sweet Talkin' Woman'.
ELO's last performance at Madison Square Garden, during their 1978 world tour, featured a giant replica spaceship, an out-of-this-world addition that featured again at last year's concert at Wembley Stadium. It is this particular show which is showcased in our forthcoming Genesis title, Wembley Or Bust.
This limited edition goes behind the scenes, allowing fans to see both the production and rehearsals, and in Jeff Lynne's own words offers a unique insight into his musical process.Wembley Or Bust is now available online, for more information on this edition click here.
Since 1974 Genesis has created signed limited edition books on behalf of authors and artists ranging from the Beatles to Buckingham Palace.
