Today, legendary guitarist, singer, songwriter, and Genesis author Eric Clapton turns 75. It was on his 13th birthday that Eric asked for a guitar - a gift that would go on to define the rest of his life.
In a career spanning more than 50 years, Eric has had many impressive lifetime achievements. He is currently the only person to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times: once as a solo artist, once as a member of the Yardbirds, and once as a member of Cream. He was also ranked no.2 in Rolling Stone's '100 greatest guitarists of all time', beaten only by Jimi Hendrix.
Eric continues to tour around the world with his latest catalogue of work. He recently announced that his tour due to start in Spring this year, has been rescheduled due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
