Genesis Authors Rock Glastonbury Festival
26 Jun 2023
Genesis author,
Yusuf / Cat Stevens, made a triumphant visit to the Glastonbury Festival this weekend. A favourite musician of the festival's founder, Michael Eavis, he finally performed in the exclusive 'Legends' slot on Sunday afternoon. Initially overwhelmed by the enormous crowd, he played a brilliant set including favourites from his back catalogue and his cover of 'Here Comes the Sun' by
George Harrison, to whom he paid tribute, with
Olivia Harrison watching on.
Chrissie Hynde and The Pretenders also rocked out on the Park Stage, which you can learn more about
here. But back on the Pyramid Stage, another Genesis author
Henry Diltz, only 84 years young, was busy as an official photographer. We can't wait to see the images he caught of the weekend.
Yusuf / Cat Steven's signed, limited edition,
Cat Stevens: Back Beyond chronicles the two-year period in which he released his trio of groundbreaking albums:
Mona Bone Jakon,
Tea for the Tillerman, and
Teaser and the Firecat, is available to purchase at
