Eric Clapton is set to perform in Tokyo for five nights in April this year. He will be accompanied by his band, which includes artists such as Doyle Bramhall II, Nathan East, Paul Carrack, Sonny Emory, Chris Stainton, Sharon White and Katie Kissoon.

The concerts will take place at the Budokan on April 13, 15, 17, 18 and 20th. Tickets are due to go on sale in early February, for more information, click here.

Doyle Bramhall II and Nathan East are both contributors in Clapton's latest title, Sunshine Of Your Love. An edition which documents the Crossroads Guitar Festivals, 1999-2013, in it both musicians share their appreciation of Clapton:

"I admire Eric for so many reasons: for the music that he brought to me and that I learned from and then took and integrated into what I do. Being around him on a daily basis, I learn from him constantly because he's just such a strong, driven person... If I had to sum Eric Clapton up in one word, it would be 'gracious'." - Doyle Bramhall II

"It's funny, you all get together on the first day of Crossroads, and it's like, 'Hey, what do you want to play?' There's so many great songs to choose from...I see the set list sometimes and it looks like it could be the history of rock 'n' roll. Sometimes the blues mood comes out, sometimes the rock 'n' roll mood comes out, the R&B mood, sometimes it gets a little jazzy. One of the things I really appreciate about Eric as an artist is that he's free, he doesn't pigeonhole himself, it's always an open architecture mentality whenever he's doing anything." - Nathan East
