Sunday saw the publication of Chrissie Hynde's interview with The Observer's Jude Rogers. In it the two discussed Chrissie's art and her upcoming edition, Adding The Blue that presents 200 never-before-seen paintings.
During the interview, Rogers described the upcoming edition as a 'grand, lavish thing showcasing nearly 200 oil paintings, from vivid abstracts to portraits of her daughters, herself and friends including Sandra Bernhard and Michael Clark.'
Chrissie also described her admiration for Van Gogh and his work within the Sunday feature, 'It's so psychedelic and I have a psychedelic frame of mind. The music and art that turns me on always seems to be reaching up for divinity, making sense of life!'
Jude Rodger's finishes the interview with more than an understanding of Chrissie's art and her upcoming edition, Adding The Blue, as two hours later Rodger recounts how, 'an image arrives on my phone - a bold, colourful picture that is unmistakably me. "Crude, but honest!"' she says Chrissie writes.
