When I Was A Little Boy: Ronnie Wood Backed Bo Diddley

On 28th September 1965, Ronnie Wood’s fledgling blues band, The Birds, played with American legend Bo Diddley at 100 Club.

‘We had a meeting in a tiny dressing room. I remember telling him, "We’re trying to get off the ground, but our record company are not doing anything for us.” He said, "Well you tell them, if they ain’t gonna shit, get off the pot!” And that was my first bit of advice from an American legend!’ – Ronnie Wood in HOW CAN IT BE?
