First Literary Festival For The Beatles Story, Liverpool
19 May 2008
Throughout May The Beatles Story, Liverpool's Beatles-themed visitor attraction on Albert Dock, is hosting its first festival of paperback writers. Celebrating the host of works that have chronicled all aspects of The Beatles' lives, the main attraction is a series of evenings 'in conversation' with some of the authors. Mark Lewisohn started the series on May 14th and discussed his insatiable passion for The Beatles and his latest project, a definitive history of The Beatles, which will be released in three volumes over the next 12 years.
Mark Lewisohn: 'To say The Beatles were just a pop group is like saying Mozart was only another composer, and Churchill just another politician.'
Genesis Publications started its relationship with all things fab with the publication of I Me Mine in 1980 since when we've continued to bring unique and unseen material of The Beatles to our subscribers. The latest Beatles title, Summer of Love, looks at the making of Sgt. Peppers through the recollections of producer Sir George Martin. Click here to see all Beatles titles available to order now.
