The Lions At Rugby Grand Slam Dinner
15 Sep 2005
The launch event at the Grosvenor House Hotel on September 16 for The Lions: The Complete History of the British and Irish Lions, is now sold out. However, we are delighted to announce that customers will also be able to preview the book at an all-star dinner on November 17.
The Grand Slam dinner aims to honour the summer's Lions tour of New Zealand, while celebrating the All Blacks' reciprocal visit to Britain and Ireland to attempt the grand slam of the home nations for the first time in 27 years. It will also do much to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
The dinner takes place just ahead of the All Blacks vs England game on the 19th and will be held at The Battersea Marquee, London. Confirmed guests and speakers so far include Andrew Mehrtens, Colin Meads, John Kirwan, Murray Mexted, Jeremy Guscott, Gavin Hastings and Jonathan Davies, with surprise extra-special guests also promised.
Individual tickets and table bookings both available. For more information go to www.grandslamdinner.co.uk
