"The Who used to play my local pub when I was sixteen years old and they were hardly any older - often encoring with 'Twist and Shout' which was a huge Beatles hit the time. I think Pete developed into one of the great pop geniuses of all time, although it was always better to meet him on one of his good days."
"The last time I photographed him a few years ago, I said I was here to take some Pictures he just looked stern and said "picture" (just one!). This shot was taken before we left with a police escort for the famous l'Humanité concert outside Paris in front of 150,000 people."
