Copies numbered 1 to 250 are bound in full blue leather with the famous target blocked onto the front. They were signed by Roger Daltrey and reserved before the edition was published.
Advance copies of the Regular edition were presented to Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle and Pete Townshend by the book's compiler, Ross Halfin when he photographed them two weeks before the commencement of The Who's 2002 US Tour. Maximum Who was very favourably received by the three original band members with Pete characteristically writing in Ross's own copy the immortal words: 'Ross you're a fucking star!'
Sadly this occasion would also prove to be two weeks before John's sudden, tragic death. We should like to take this opportunity to thank him for the way that he assisted so graciously with this project. We had hoped to work with him on a third Who title, but regrettably Maximum Who will stand as being the first and last book on which Daltrey, Entwistle and Townshend collaborated.
