CROSSFIRE HURRICANE
25 YEARS OF THE ROLLING STONES IN THE USA
PHOTOGRAPHS BY BOB GRUEN
Crossfire Hurricane is a remarkable collection of photographs capturing twenty-five years of The Rolling Stones in the U.S.A.
Over the years, famous rock photographer Bob Gruen has worked with many successful rock musicians (including John Lennon, who is the subject of Bob's stunning Genesis limited edition Sometime in New York City), but he has remained ever faithful to the group that first captured his heart. From 1972 he has photographed The Rolling Stones, documenting the band's touring career and also their solo appearances, both official and impromptu, and alongside other rock'n'roll legends such as John Lennon, Bob Dylan and Chuck Berry. The result is a breathtaking look at their impact on America as one of the most exciting live bands in the history of rock'n'roll.
This personally signed hand-crafted volume contains an unrivalled collection of over 350 photographs, many finely printed in full colour, which have been carefully selected from the author's personal New York City archive. Some of the images reproduced in this volume are favourites amongst followers of the band but most of them have never been seen before, including intimate shots of Keith and Ronnie with their families. In his own words Bob Gruen tells the stories behind the pictures, creating a truly unique and personalised photographic account of this period in Rolling Stones history.
