A photographic journey which accompanies The Beatles during the filming of A Hard Day's Night in Liverpool in 1964. It features a collection of unpublished photographs of Liverpool and The Beatles, capturing the inspirational effect of the Liverpool music scene's early-60s explosion, and the phenomenon of the Merseybeat.

In 1964 Astrid Kirchherr and Max Scheler travelled from Hamburg to London to photograph The Beatles. Astrid already knew The Beatles well and had photographed them when they'd lived and worked, honing their craft, in the Hamburg clubs.
