Customers' comments

To The Staff of Genesis,

I have not been able to drop a line until now. I recently purchased the deluxe edition of NTDAG. What can I say that I haven't emailed in the past about your other works or any of your other readers have already said. The book is simply magnificent. From the the great new book smell to the binding, to the content. I was blown away by the photos. How did these escape detection all these years?. The book is really a fantastic time capsule to an era that will forever be a very special one for me and millions of others. The shots of Ringo and Maureen were just terrific. I also found the text to be very informative as well as entertaining. Please do not let this be the end of your Beatles projects for they are just all special treats.

Kindest Regards,

Steve Baron, New York

P.S. The Richard Lester autograph was just the cherry on the top.

Hi Tessa and good afternoon from sunny Holland!

Quick word from me. I received yesterday the Now These Days Are Gone deluxe edition in FABULOUS PERFECT condition. Many Many Many thanks for all. It's truly a magnificent edition and a fabulous addition to my collection.

Have a great day and again many thanks for helping me out with this matter!!

Ron

The Michael Peto book is, as is usual from Genesis, a wonderfully produced book.

The intros help to place the content in time but, a picture paints a thousand words, and it is the photos (especially in black & white) which best evoke memories of the era.

Some cracking portraits of the fab four together and individually are juxtaposed with relaxed, unposed photos of the boys obviously enjoying themselves. Other photos, taken at quieter moments, seem to show the toll of the continuous workload on their faces (I can't imagine it would have been anything else!). The nature of some of the photos show that Michael Peto seemed to have a fairly free rein as to where and when he took them.

Contemporary photos complement the collection and remind us of how far we have come in a relatively short time. Some changes undoubtably for the better, some, perhaps not so much so. However, these photos were taken at the cusp of these changes amid which John, Paul, George and Ringo could not remain unaffected. The Beatles would not be seen as the "fab, mop-tops" for much longer.

Viewed from this perspective, this excellent collection of photographs form an important part of Beatle history and I am delighted to have them. I would thouroughly recommend them to Beatle enthusiasts.

Regards

Gordon Clarke

My Deluxe copy of 'Now These Days Are Gone' arrived yesterday. It smells how it looks - W O N D E R F U L! ! ! A book you can read, feel and smell must be made by Genesis Publications.

Thanks a lot, Werner Merkl, Germany

I just wanted to say thanks a lot for the great Beatles book 'Now These Days Are Gone'. Absolutely fantastic. Of course all your books are great.

I am very proud to be one of the first customers to have received 'Now These Days Are Gone' and it is my pleasure to give you my feedback .

With Genesis Publications books I am used to seeing beautiful books but each time I receive a new one I am surprised by the beauty of the object. Now These Days Are Gone is no exception: the smell and the red colour of the leather are incredible and it's a very good idea to add a protective bag.

The photos are very interesting because they are so different to those we are used to seeing on this period. It's as if Michael Peto was invisible to The Beatles and he pictured them as unknowns. The Forewords and text shed new light on the Fab Four in 1965. It really was a very important year!

Congratulations to all at Genesis and thank you for making books like these!

Maurice Escoffier, Paris, France

PS. It was a great idea to ask Richard Lester to sign the Deluxe edition.
