The accompanying vinyl record features four previously unreleased recordings by The Jam, taken from an original demo tape found by Paul in the vaults of Solid Bond Productions.
When Paul discovered the tape its cannister was unlabelled. The tape itself was so brittle that, to stop it snapping on the reel-to-reel player, it literally had to be oven-baked. Eventually, four original Jam demo tracks from early 1977 were revealed and digitally captured in order for Paul, and his engineers, to painstakingly re-master and restore.
'These are the demos that got us the deal with Polydor. As far as I know, they've not even been bootlegged.' - PAUL WELLER
Pressed on heavyweight vinyl for the best possible sound quality, with a facsimile label from Paul's own record collection they are:
Side A: 'In The City',
'Time For Truth'
Side B: 'So Sad About Us',
'Sounds From The Street'
This record is only available as part of the A THOUSAND THINGS boxed set.
