'This anniversary is special to me because I miss the boys and it will be a thrill for me to make a new record and be on stage with them again.' - Brian WilsonBrian Wilson's life with the Beach Boys and beyond was inspiration for That Lucky Old Sun, his 2008 solo album and Genesis collector's set. Wilson collaborated with Pop Artist Peter Blake to present the concept album through a series of collages that capture the mood of Southern California in the Fifties and Sixties.
'That Lucky Old Sun is a collage of sound which I'm very happy to make visual. It's extremely satisfying to bring the California that Brian sees to the page.' - Peter Blake
Along with 12 original artist prints, THAT LUCKY OLD SUN features 3 facsimile music sheets and handwritten lyrics to 'Midnight's Another Day', a genuine VIP pass from the That Lucky Old Sun tour and a CD pressing of the album. The boxed set continues the tribute to his home state, with the signed, hand numbered volume bound in blue cloth to represent the Californian sky and ocean.
