We mentioned earlier this year that Beach Boys Al Jardine, Mike Love and Brian Wilson would be officially releasing the SMiLE sessions from their shelved session recordings of 1966-67 and we can now tell you it will be October 31 2011 (November 1 USA). These 'lost' and previously unreleased recordings of their studio session work is to be released as a closest approximation of what would have been their follow-up album to Pet Sounds along. The final recordings are created directly from the original master tapes and will be available in a variety of formats.

We mentioned earlier this year that Beach Boys Al Jardine, Mike Love and Brian Wilson would be officially releasing SMiLE, produced from their shelved recording sessions of 1966-67, and we can now tell you it will be available to order on October 31, 2011 (November 1 USA).

These 'lost' and previously unreleased recordings of their SMiLE studio work are to be released as a closest-approximation album of what would have been their follow-up to Pet Sounds from May 1966. The tracks are created directly from the original master tapes and will be available in a variety of formats, including a $6000 version that includes a custom-made SMiLE surfboard.
