MOJO Honours List 2011

At a celebration of the music industry's biggest names last week, the MOJO Magazine awards honoured two Genesis authors, Ringo Starr and Brian Wilson. Ringo received the Icon Of The Year and Brian the MOJO Hall Of Fame award.

Brian thanked his English fans for being so supportive. He is back in the UK this September to perform a string of shows, culminating in a three-day stint at London's Royal Festival Hall. The tour follows on from Brian's recent UK concerts such as 2007's world premiere of That Lucky Old Sun (also the title to Brian's signed limited edition created in collaboration with Sir Peter Blake, click here to read more) that have been highly acclaimed by fans and critics alike.

Jimmy Page was also on hand to present the MOJO Maverick award to rock troubadour Donovan, and Genesis subscriber Bobby Gillespie from Primal Scream collected the MOJO Classic Album award for Screamadelica.

The full breakdown will be in the next issue of MOJO magazine.
