Sojourner By Ross Halfin Coming Soon
Genesis's latest limited edition follows on from the sold out visual autobiography by Jimmy Page. The new book features the photography of Ross Halfin who was not only consultant editor to Jimmy's edition, but also the creative force behind major books by Genesis: THE WHO LIVE (now sold out) MAXIMUM WHO (the first and only book to feature Entwistle, Daltrey and Townshend together) and CLASSIC HENDRIX (limited copies remain). Ross's new title, SOJOURNER, presents a collection of remarkable landscapes and photographic impressions drawn from years of travel and exploration. "Those of us who make pictures for a living pride ourselves on isolating poignant moments," comments fellow photographer and co-founder of Rolling Stone, Baron Wolman. "Halfin's photographs are testimony to his excellence in separating the timeless from the mundane. There's an otherworldiness to Ross Halfin's travel photography. Paging through the collection is a visual journey beyond the present to both the changeless elegance of nature as well as to the temporal hand of man upon the land."
Jimmy Page agrees. "He's a damn fine photographer," he comments in his Foreword to SOJOURNER. "Looking at these pictures you can feel the pulse and remember the scent of these places."
Now in the final stages of preparation, SOJOURNER is due to be sent to press in Milan, Italy. We look forward to posting further news shortly and announcing the book for pre-orders later this month.
