Chris Blackwell Honoured At 2009 Music Week Awards
Chris Blackwell has been named as the most influential figure in the last 50 years of the British music industry at the 2009 Music Week Awards. Credited with introducing the world to Bob Marley, U2 and Traffic, the Island Records founder was chosen over such luminary figures as Sir George Martin, Brian Epstein and Harvey Goldsmith.
Blackwell contributes extensively and features in
Rebel Music
by Kate Simon, the signed limited edition that charts the life of Bob
Marley through the lens of Kate Simon. It includes legendary
photographs such as the
Kaya
shoot and the 1975 concert at the Lyceum, London.
