Mojo Honours List 2008
This Monday (16th June) MOJO hosted their annual 'Honours List' awards ceremony to celebrate the contribution of musicians, 'whose work is built to last, transcending time, place and context'. Held at The Brewery, London, with over 500 legendary guests, from Jimmy Page and Paul Weller to Duffy and Nick Cave, MOJO handed out 21 awards including 'Song of the Year', 'Best Album', 'Inspiration' and 'Icon'.Among those honoured were Neil Young who was short-listed for the 'Best Live Act' award and Paul Weller who won the 'Outstanding Contribution Award', which is sponsored by the legendary Cavern Club and given 'to acknowledge a body of work without which the rock and pop music of today would be in a sense inconceivable'.
Video highlights of the evening along with all the winners are available at the Mojo Website, www.mojo4music.com.
'California Dreaming', which includes classic photographs of Neil Young with Buffalo Springfield, CSNY and as a solo artist, and 'A Thousand Things' by Paul Weller are available to order now from the Genesis catalogue, click here.
