Charles Darwin - Complete Private Papers Available Online

Available for the first time to the general public, Charles Darwin-s personal papers have been released in their entirety by the University of Cambridge (UK). Included in this vast collection are notes from the voyage of The Beagle. His first round-the-world surveying voyage took him to the Galapagos Islands where his observations of local wildlife would eventually lead him to a theory that would forever change mankind-s understanding of itself. Genesis Publications- own evolution began with facsimile reproductions of the western world-s most important journals of exploration and discovery, including Charles Darwin-s Journal of a Voyage in HMS Beagle. Published in 1979, it is a complete facsimile of the original journal in Darwin's own handwriting. By kind permission of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Genesis took the original document to the Cambridge University Library where, with infinite care and skill, it was unbound by library staff to be photographed.
