Cirque Du Soleil - 'Love'
Tonight, Friday 30th June, sees the Las Vegas premiere of the latest show by those purveyors of circus magic, Cirque du Soleil. Love opens at The Mirage and, for the first time ever, features the music of The Beatles as the soundtrack to a theatrical show.
'Love' is the result of a 2-year collaboration between Cirque du Soleil's choreographers and the legendary Beatles' producer Sir George Martin. Sir George was given unrestricted access to Apple's archive of Beatles' master recordings to remix a soundtrack for Cirque du Soleil's famous acrobatics.
Sir George Martin's autobiography, Playback, is now sold out. However, we will be announcing a further publishing project concerning the producer, Summer of Love, before the end of 2006.

An Illustrated Memoir
George Martin
In 1962, as head of Parlophone Records, George Martin signed a new band from Liverpool that had been turned down by nearly every other label in Britain. The rest is history. He went on to record every track made by The Beatles and is considered to have been a vital influence on their sound, enabling them to realise their ideas as their music became increasingly ambitious. The world's most successful music producer has now written a charming memoir of his life and career.
