Mick Rock's "killer Queens"

Mick Rock started photographing iconic rock figures in the late 60s, shooting his friend and Pink Floyd founder member Syd Barrett (see Psychedelic Renegades). He then moved on to David Bowie during his ascent as Ziggy Stardust (see Moonage Daydream) and the stern pre-punk Lou Reed to the stellar rise of Queen and his fabulous friend Freddie Mercury (see Killer Queen). More recently he has captured on film Kate Moss and the new wave punk of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Mick Rock has always found himself to be in the right place at the right time and has resultantly taken some of the most memorable rock and roll images of the past 30 years.

This November in association with the Blink Gallery an eclectic selection of Mick's photography will be presented, including for the first time a number of previously unseen images of David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust, celebrating Bowie's first major world tour in 10 years.

The show is open to the public from 7 November until 6 December.
